Chart of the Malay archipelago and the Dutch discoveries in Australia
Although dated 1618, this chart includes discoveries up to 1628. It would seem that this additional information was added to an existing copperplate and copies printed without changing the original date. The chart includes the discovery of Pieter Nuyts' Land, named after an official of the Dutch East India Company who was on board the Gulden Zeepaert (golden seahorse), captain Fran?ois Thijssen, when it sailed along the south coast in 1627.
