Heritage Collection 2009
Explore the continuously evolving Heritage Collection, presented by the Nelson Meers Foundation.
This year’s displays include more rare and significant items from the collections of the State Library of New South Wales.
Still on show are items relating to the famous Burns-Johnson Boxing match of 1908, ephemera relating to the ABBA visit to Australia, French representations of ancient Egyptian art and the glorious art books made by writers and artists.
In April 2009 we’ll have on display pages of the extremely rare and moving Schindler’s List. This famous document, one of an unknown number of contemporary copies, came into our collections as part of the research material for Tom Kenneally’s work Schindler’s List.
From July 2009 we’ll be showing some wonderful material from our collection of material from the author of Mary Poppins, P. L. Travers.
