Arrival of Modernism
Architectural Modernism was a revolutionary rejection of past styles and the use of architectural ornament. It embraced boldness and simplicity in design.
The Library has a unique collection of materials from the birth of this revolution in Australia, through the plans, perspective drawings and photographed works of leading post-war practitioners like Arthur Baldwinson, Sydney Ancher, Harry Seidler and Hugh Buhrich.
