TRANSCRIPT:

1.  Mrs Samuel Terry will leave a legacy of ten thousand pounds to Mrs [illegible Hebrew] eldest daughter on condition that she takes this name: Phoebe Frances Gordon Elyard [in Hebrew].

2.  The Standard of the Tribe of Judah will soon be raised in this City as the National Flag of Australia. – on this will be inscribed in Hebrew “Jesus was the Messiah.”  It will be made by Jewish Ladies in Australia.

3.  The connection between the Pope of Rome and the Roman Catholics of this Country will be dissolved through the instrumentality of Father John Gormeillon [i.e. Gourbeillon] a parish priest in Sydney at present.

4.  The salaries of persons in the Public Service will be increased, but no salary (except that of the Queen which will be two thousand pounds a year) will exceed one thousand pounds. Proper Quarters will however be furnished by Government.

5.  Miss J. L. Montefiore will have a child.
