The Cumberland Plain Woodland was once part of early New South Wales rural land cultivated by early settlers in the 1800s.
The Smooth spider bush is also known as the lolly bush and gets its name from its red and black fruit resembling lollies.
The Smooth spider bush grows to ten metres tall and is found in coastal New South Wales.
The Smooth spider bush also grows in drier areas of Western Australia including rocky sites, gorges and cliffs.
The leaves of the Smooth spider bush are host to caterpillars of the Fiery Jewel Butterfly.
The Cumberland Plain Woodland once covered an estimated area of 125,000 hectares from Kurrajong to Picton in New South Wales.
