King parrots are usually found in rainforest and woodland habitats foraging for seeds, fruits and small insects.
King parrots are found along the eastern coast and ranges of Australia.
King parrots are frequently seen in small groups with various species of rosella.
King parrots are seldom seen flying above treetops, instead weaving in and out through the tree trunks.
Adult king parrots measure around 43cm in length including their long broad tail.
