This business, now located in an 1891 building, used to be located where the Cow and Moon gelateria now stands at no. 181 Enmore Road.

In 1904, Newtown laundries were amongst those where union members worked. They sought clearer rules on working conditions and wages for laundry employees. It was confirmed that no worker should work more than 48 hours per week.

The Washing Done provides two computers for internet use so their customers can browse the web while they wait for their washing.
