"The most unusual request we've had was for a vegan haggis: the best bit is we've been asked more than once."

Nearly 100 years ago Stott's Butchers operated on King Street. They claimed shoppers could save on doctor's bills by buying their 'most hygienic' meat.

In a warm 1908 summer, the Butcher's Ordinance forced local butchers to cover their shops in gauze or glass to minimise odour. Inside these 'great fly-traps' the workers said they couldn't breathe.

Suzy served as personal chef to Hollywood actor Toby Maguire while he was in Australia filming Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby.

For Christmas 2013, Suzy created a vegan roast. Expecting to sell 50 at most she was inundated with 500 orders. Suzy worked all hours to complete the roasts, but had to stop at 300.

Vegetarian sausages originated in Germany when the British cut food supplies to the country in WWI. Konrad Adenauer, Cologne's mayor, substituted meat for mixed grain flour, then soy as a sausage filling.
