"The black rubber blow up Michelin Man body suit with a blow up hood and breathing hose was a fascinating piece."

Reactor Rubberwear, now closed, was once the largest and oldest Australian producer of rubber, latex and fetish clothing and novelties.

In the early 2000s, Reactor Rubberwear staged fashion parades as part of Mercedes National Fashion Week.

A sought-after item from this shop was the 'hoof boot'. Designed in the shape of a hoof with a horseshoe sole attachment, it creates a ‘clip clop’ sound as the wearer walks.

This shop began as bondage furniture supplier Kayser Novelty Co, in 1974 when Albert Kayser turned his hobby for all things fetish into a business.
