"We were the first to import from Fiji to Australia, but now we use local importers because it provides us with a bigger range of products."

Coaches, carriages and buggies were once built here. The winch used for lifting equipment can still be seen from the lane at the side of the building.

This business started in the Sutherland Shire in 1979 before it relocated to Newtown in 1981.

Syrian-born Mrs Mary Malouf, lived here until 1935 when she died at 83 years of age. The building is named after her family.
