In 1915 a former resident of this address was found drowned near the horse ferry dock at Milsons Point.

Nicole, daughter of the original owner, Kevin Barnes, broke through a male-dominated industry to expand the business into supplying the film industry. There are now branches in Melbourne and Brisbane.

Barnes teaches its customers how to cast and mould via YouTube. Their clips include how to use fake blood in films, the art of hand casting and how to make a foam monster.
