This is the only fruit and vegetable shop on Enmore Road.

A Newtown grocer's shop showed dramatic marketing flair in the early 1900s by dangling a menacing knife from the premises alongside a sign: 'This is the knife with which we cut our prices'.

In 1914, Constantine Paris, a King Street grocer, was fined £1 for failing to display the Fruiterers' Award, which alerted shop assistants to their wage and working condition entitlements.
