AUSTGUIDE

GUIDELINES and EDUCATION GUIDELINES give complete subject access to the contents of more than 120 periodicals, of both general and educational interest. Academic Search Premier is an academic multi-disciplinary database which provides full text for nearly 4,600 scholarly publications, including full text for more than 3,500 peer-reviewed journals, offering information dating as far back as 1975. Agricola

Agricola contains bibliographic records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library. This database contains more than 4.1 million citations from journal articles, book chapters, monographs, theses, patents, software, audiovisual materials, and technical reports related to agriculture.

Agricola encompasses all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines, including animal and veterinary sciences, entomology, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, farming and farming systems, agricultural economics, extension and education, food and human nutrition, agricultural engineering and technology and earth and environmental sciences.

The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) produces standards which cover areas such as energy, the environment, consumer products, medical services and devices, computerized systems and electronics. ASTM standards are developed voluntarily and used voluntarily.

Australian Public Affairs - Full Text (APA-FT), is an indexing and full text database that provides Internet access to the scanned images of journal articles from published material on the social sciences and humanities. Australian Public Affairs - Full Text is based on the journal indexing of the database Australian Public Affairs Information Service (APAIS), which is produced by the National Library of Australia and published by RMIT Publishing.

Of the 320,000+ records indexed from 2,000+ journals in APAIS, approximately half are derived from 223+ comprehensively indexed journals. Australian academy of sciences

The Academy was founded in 1954 by Australian Fellows of the Royal Society of London with the distinguished physicist Sir Mark Oliphant as founding President. It was granted a Royal Charter establishing the Academy as an independent body but with government endorsement. The objectives of the Academy are to promote science through a range of activities. It has defined four major program areas, recognition of outstanding contributions to science,education and public awareness,science policy and international relations. The website includes articles on topical issues, basic science concepts and includes curriculum resources for students.

EVRI

Environmental Valuation Reference Inventory (EVRI) is a database dealing with environmental economics. It contains over 1,900 international studies providing values, methodologies, techniques and theories on environmental valuation and the benefits transfer approach. Subjects include water use, drought and climate change, often in relation to economics and to government policy. EVRI indexes journals, books and conference proceedings, and provides links to full text where available online. Funding by the NSW Dept. of Environment and Climate Change contributes to making EVRI available free online, but registration (i.e. obtaining a username and password) is required.

Energy Information Administration

Official energy statistics from the statistical agency of the US Department of Energy. Data can be accessed by categories such as country, fuel type (petrol, gas, electricity, coal, and renewable), and sector (residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation). Also includes forecasts, analyses and energy-related environmental data.
