Approved valuers - Australian Government's Cultural Gifts Program

A list of valuers approved to participate in the Cultural Gifts Program, which encourages gifts of significant cultural items to public institutions by offering donors a tax deduction. The Federal Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage & the Arts administers the program with the advice of the Committee on Taxation Incentives for the Arts.

AustArt - COFA Australian Art Journal Index

AustArt is an index of Australian art journals held in the College of Fine Arts Library, the University of New South Wales. Coverage is from 1987 to the present. This version of AustArt is temporary. The aim is to provide interim access to the AustArt data whilst a more user friendly version is under development.

Dictionary of Australian Artists Online

The Dictionary of Australian Artists Online ( DAAO ) provides biographical data, contextual information, commentary and links to images on the topic of Australian artists.

The foundation data focuses predominantly on colonial artists; women artists to 1950; black and white artists; Aboriginal artists of the Western Desert and the Sydney region. However, the database is constantly being added to and currently there are about 7,659 biographies.

Set up by NSW University Library with the support of the Australian Research Council, this database also has the support of a number of public art galleries, universities and national/state libraries around Australia.

Oxford Art Online

Oxford Art Online contains Grove Art Online, The Oxford Companion to Western Art, Encyclopedia of Aesthetics and The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms with 21,000 biographies, 500,000 bibliographic citations, 40,000 image links and 5,000 images.
