Sketches in the station

This album appears to have been compiled in 1884 by John Stirling, a stockman and amateur artist, while he was working at Wyong Station, NSW, the property established by William Alison which gave its name to the present Central Coast town. Stirling's pencil drawings document the rigorous way of life on a bush station and record his involvement with the mustering and the breaking-in of horses at Wyong.
